Victoria's School Of Dance

My daughters have been dancing at Victoria's since pre k as well. It's an absolute joy and an honor to be a part of such a phenomenal dance school!!



The owners are very genuine, beautiful people inside and out!! The staff is qualified and professional. The shows along with their award winning dance competitions are amazing to say the least. We look forward to it every year!!



I am truly thankful for Ms. Vicki's passion to introduce young girls to dance. The memories we've made will stay with us forever!!

The main purpose of writing this review is to respond to the previous one. My daughter has been a student of Victoria's School of Dance for approximately six months (including time spent in their VPK program. The staff has been nothing short of excellent and have helped my daughter improve (and enjoy) her dancing tremendously. Before that part, I will give my review of the facility itself.



The facility itself is well-kept, extremely beautiful, and inviting. The dance rooms themselves are well-equipped. My favorite part is the fact that the dance rooms are monitored and a live video is streamed to the waiting area so we parents can watch our children practice and learn, even outside of the last five minutes of class (where parents are permitted to watch from inside the actual classroom). The studio also provides our daughter's class with a detailed progress card, which marks what moves she has learned as well as the date she learned them. The teachers have been excellent. My daughter cannot wait for dance class each week and LOVES to practice and show us her moves.



Their recital, which is completely optional, was brought to our attention more than six months in advance. At this time, all fees and required purchases were disclosed along with the deadline for paying/buying them. I cannot stress enough that the recital is completely optional, with no pressure to participate, except perhaps from your child, should you decide not to do so. Also, the fees were quite reasonable considering the fact that they are providing custom costumes and renting out part of the Straz Center for two days in June.



My daughter has been engaged in numerous extracurricular activities, to include another dance company via our VPK provider. Victoria's School of Dance is THE best we have encountered thus far, hands down.

The studio is very nice. They just spent most of this past year renovating it. The dance instructors are very nice. However, if you choose this studio, have your checkbook ready. There are many hidden costs that are not explained until right before the recital in the spring. After discovering that, in addition to the $80 recital fee and the $85 costume fee, you will be expected to also purchase a special hair piece, specific make-up, tights, tickets for around $22 each plus a $7+ handling fee each(even parents), parking, program fee, dvd fee, etc. My daughter is 4 and I feel the fees were out of line. I was very dissatisfied with this and the fact that my daughter's performance was in the second half of the program, which meant that she would be required to stay in an area behind the stage the entire program. If it was in the first half of the prgoram, she would've been to leave at intermission. When I explained my dissatisfaction to the owner a couple of months before the recital, she gave me her word that she would return the recital fee to me. Of course, after the recital she refused to refund it to me. I would not recommenrd this studio.
