Hibernia Diner

Ate there yesterday for Mothers Day and the food was very good! I'm definitely going to prefer this diner now over the diners I usually go to now. Drinks were good, service was decent, and they have a very nice selection of deserts compared to your average diner. I saw the deserts when I first walked in, I will definitely order a desert next time! Was full after brunch! Will definitely be returning!

I was surprised to read some of the negative reviews as our experiences there (2-3 times in the past year) have all been good. The food is unusually good for diner food, and the servings generous! The prices are within reason of other diners in Morris County, which seems to have gone up a bit, but cost of groceries has also. They have some fairly gourmet dishes, along with the standards, and we've enjoyed them. The menu is extensive. The staff, from my experience, has been perfectly acceptable. The owner always seems to have a presence at the front desk, and is friendly. I made a suggestion of a dish they should make: pulled pork panini, and the boss seemed interested in my idea. the Pulled Pork Quesadilla is delish!

After a full day picking up daughter at airport arriving about 2:30 AM looking for simple Pancakes, Eggs was greeted by a woman who apparently didn't like her job or people. After a light hearted joke walked away from us and left us waiting for her to return, After talking with manager he continued to have her serve our table. We (2of us) did not eat our food for fear of her spitting in it!

They still charged us for the 4 meals....

Wouldn't recommend it and we will never return.

Shoulld of kept the place closed. The only thing that needed to be remodeled was the people! Couldnt get an order right the first time, couldnt get it righ thte 2nd time, couldnt get it right the 3rd time, 4th time said are you joking. Lousy food, waitress who was there for 8 years couldnt get an order right, came running up to us all paranoid yelling they are going to fire me. Manager needs an atitude adjustment, copped an attiude when asked him a simple question, short changed us, learn to add. Place has had a history of problems, with their employees, their customers you name it this freak show had it.



We hear (1) the original contractor took the money and they disappeard (2) they ran out of money when building the place (3) they have to have someone from the bank (we think) but there's someone there controlling everything and we're not talking the owners, the remodel is cheaply done and looks "nice cheap". it looks nice but when you look at it closely, its cheap. Misaligned tiles, saw dust still in the window pane covered glue, it was 1/2 axsed done. But never will be returning there every again!
