Hi-Fashion Fabrics

I was excited to find a fabric store that carries silk, wool and other natural fibers. They had a large variety of silks such as chiffon, charmuse, Georgette, organza, Duponi and raw silk in several basic colors. They also had a wide variety of patterned silks. They had dozens of wool suiting choices and some beautiful wool cashmere blends. They also carry upholstery fabrics and I noticed they had a wide variety of lace. The store is in south Sacramento, it's not the greatest neighborhood or the most beautiful building but I thought the prices were very reasonable.

I bought an evening gown from Neiman Marcus a few years ago. I needed fabric to have a wrap made and assumed that I would have to get a contrast color since the dress was such an odd color and a tad iridescent. Wouldn't you know that the store carried the same fabric, if not a very, very similar fabric? My mom had an evening gown made in Thailand and needed a wrap made and had the the same luck.



My mom purchased a silk tablecloth in China that was too short for the dining room table. She purchased some fabric from Hi-Fashion and the seamster did a fabulous job adding the fabric to widen the tablecloth.
