My worst experience ever. Over cost by a huge percentage of the initial estimate which you only find out the cost of "time and materials" at the very end. K-build is the sub used, which we had used before with them when we had the bath re-done in which they also over ran. I made allowances the first time but this time I closely observed. While customers may find the final result to LOOK nice, you need to really examine there work at each stage and ask questions. I found the basic knowledge limited for K-Build . They sort of work as jack of all trades but are masters at none. I would never recommend them to anyone and will spread the word on this job as far as I can. Oh be careful on letting the display of the fish emblem guide or influence you in any way

In the interest of full details and disclosure, we did receive a rather long letter from the company with a litany of excuses as to the why of my complaints. Also interestingly enough in response to my statement that I might like to have a lawyer look over the contract and estimates was the statement that they would vigorously defend themselves, probably a statement they have had to use before. Finally was the ridiculous response that even though we had negative feelings towards the job and performance , they would continue to " honor their 1 year warranty". That is not even an option, that at least is clearly stated in the contract. Make your own decisions but just be aware of what you are getting into.
