My name is Nahid and I'm a personal trainer at Strive. I started working at this private gym in the summer of 2012. I'm very passionate about health and wellness and was looking for a studio that embodies the same values as I do. Strive is definitely a place of success whether it's a clients positive growth towards their goal or a colleague that's achieved recognition for their commitment towards bettering the lives of their clients. The company culture adheres to some of the best standards in health and wellness and I'm proud to be part of such a successful and positive team.

Strive's positive approach to fitness is refreshing and encouraging! Their trainers work with you to improve your health and educate you how to change your bad habits and adopt a healthier lifestyle and their workouts are always fun, different, and challenging, but in a good way. I was nervous for my first session, as I wasn't really sure what to expect and hadn't been in great shape for years, but Jon was so nice and motivating that by the end of that session I couldn't wait for the next. A year later, I am in much better shape and I still love my workouts with all of the trainers at Strive. I would recommend Strive to anyone and everyone who wants to make a positive change in their life!

Check this place out for sure! I'm a relatively young 29 years old, but have really let myself go these past few years due to job layoffs and relationship failures. I was really depressed, exuding a lot of negative energy, and didn't think anything could help me until I met Strive at a Health Fair at work. After meeting with Anthony, I made the commitment to better myself and I am glad I did. 6 months later, I am 35 pounds lighter and have 13% less body fat. I have the confidence I need to get it done at work and the confidence to approach woman at the bars. Without Strive, I am scared to think of where my life would have ended up. With Strive, I am the best me I can be. Thanks guys!

This place is pretty awesome. I've dealt with all sorts of trainers over the years, and would consider myself a person that values my health, but I haven't always been that way. I'm really thankful to Strive for helping me understand how to shift my paradigm of thinking when it comes to being healthy. The facility is amazing (look at the pics), it's really bright and energetic, they always play great music, have aromatherapy scents throughout the place, clean bathroom (and shower), and really unique equipment that I would never find in my own gym. Aside from the cool place, the team at Strive is really passionate and committed to helping their clients reach their goals. My trainer is really MOTIVATING, and sends me an email after every workout, gives me a routine that I can do when I'm not with her, and even wrote me out a meal plan on her own time. I'd reccomend my Mother to this place IF she lived in San Diego becuase I know the Strive team could really help her out. You guys are the best, and I am a Striver for life.

So what's up with Strive? It's all about setting personal fitness goals and then kicking your rear to reach those goals. It's called personal TRAINING. They not only teach you how to get the best full body workout, they also teach you how to fuel your body with the right foods. If you're looking for the typical gym to workout at, this may not be the place for you...but if you want to start getting in the best shape of your life, go see the awesome trainers at Strive. You won't be sorry....maybe a little sore, but definitely not sorry.

This program is not worth the money or time as the concept is flawed for the customer. Sessions are only 30 minutes and have a varying degree of frequency of 6 to 8 times a month or otherwise. The more monthly sessions you sign up for, the higher the cost. Strive makes you sign a one year contact with a cancellation clause whereby you owe half for the portion you cancel and they require a credit card, no checks or billing. (Seems they want their money) The owner knows that most people will drop out thus they are counting on the cancellation revenue. This is a business about signing up as many people as possible knowing that most will eventually cancel. I cannot fault the trainers, but given that you only have 30 minute sessions, with some of the monthly sessions dedicated to measurements and assessments, that is not a lot of time for getting that body you want, you will have to do most of that on your own outside of Strive, i.e. most of the improvements you will gain will be on your own and not due to Strive. I don’t discount that you will see improvement, however when I signed up, I remember that my “salesperson” Anthony said most people were beginners, thus I could see why some of the posts regarding this program might be positive, there is nowhere to go but up. However, if you are in reasonable shape like me and looking to step up your current workout regimen, this is certainly not the program for you. I got some good workout routines from my trainer for use in my own gym on my own time outside of Strive, ( I might add my trainer was great) but the cost benefit as time went on was simply not there, I was doing most of the work myself outside of Strive. If there is a one or three month option where you can get some good pointers on your workouts outside of Strive, that would be an ideal option, but signing up for one year at $300+ a month for 30 minutes sessions is not worth it, you are better off paying a personal trainer at your gym for some good training options and programs. I would totally agree with other posts that Strive is all about money and their business model is not in your best interest. Further the owner of this particular business is someone I would rather you avoid. I had a billing issue which was his entirely his fault. When I expressed my displeasure at his handling of the matter and said I no longer wished to continue, he went into a rage calling me “f…cking piece of sh.t” and that he would see me in court. Odd, he had all his money and my cancellation fee. I have noticed other negative posts regarding his ethics and well as billing issues. My trainer was later fired unjustly for simply asking what happened, further indicating the owners disregard and disrespect for his customers; I was not the only person my trainer was working with. I did note a high degree of turnover of trainers in my six months there, so again their sales pitch of personalized training is not entirely true. I do wish I had read other posts regarding this company, I would have avoided it and saved myself a lot of money. Hope this helps.

Stay away from Strive Personal Training Studios. Strive acts unprofessional, unethical, and often times their actions are illegal to California Law which is resulting in a dispute. They have no concern for their customers and only really care about one thing – money. It is quite sad this is the case.
If you go to the fee consultation – you will be told it is a personal experience to fit your needs. They tell this to everyone and use just about the same weight training program. In addition, it is very pricey for the low level of service they provide – no offense to the great trainers. In fact, there are a few good trainers but this place has a high level of turnover because they do not treat their trainers very well which impacts the overall consumer.
Do yourself a favor and join a gym with free boot camp classes or use their personal trainers because you will get the same experience and save a ton of money and effort in dealing with them. If I could give this place negative stars – I would.

Strive gives me killer workouts! I love this place! I have been a member of a lot of gyms in my day and I have found that the workouts I get at strive are like none other. I am always trying new things and learning new workouts to hit different muscle groups. I love how every month they are always measuring me and testing me to see if i've made progress, its really motivating

I am so impressed with the results Strive Studios has helped me achieve in just 3 months. I can't believe how friendly the trainers are and how they consistently help me stay motivated to reach my goals. I hate working out on my own and I really can't stand gyms but I love going to Strive because there is a serious and professional attitude about getting results and they want to help those that want to help themselves--no whiners.
