Dr. Michael Furlong is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in bladeless Custom Wavefront LASIK, PRK, Keratoconus, multifocal lens implants and cataract surgery with advanced lenses. He also treats glaucoma and other eye problems. Dr. Furlong established Furlong Vision Correction in 1998 and has performed more than 35,000 refractive and small-incision cataract surgeries to date. Dr. Furlong is also a pioneer in the treatment of Keratoconus and Furlong Vision Correction is one of the few practices nationwide with a successful multi-component treatment protocol for this progressive disease.

The Alcon LenSx laser uses a high-repetition rate femtosecond laser source for precise and customizable incisions for cataract refractive procedures. The LenSx® Laser is designed to produce excellent primary and secondary corneal incisions on three planes. The benefits include precise and customizable self-sealing incisions for multiple lens types, pristine capsulotomies, wide power range control and state of the art optical coherence tomography (OCT) technology for precision guidance. Dr. Furlong performs laser-assisted cataract and Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) procedures using the LenSx system for all of his advanced lens patients, providing the safest technology and excellent outcomes.

Dr. Furlong has been providing Cataract Surgery since 1994. Since 2013, he has been offering his Cataract patients the option to choose Advanced Lifestyle Lenses and Laser Cataract Surgery.

Matt was practice administrator for a multi-physician retina practice and chief operating officer for a large oncology and urology group. Jahred was born and raised in East San Jose and graduated from Silver Creek High School. Before working at Furlong Vision Correction, he was a Clinic Coordinator for a chain of physical therapy locations throughout the Bay Area. Receiving a firsthand perspective of patient pain management motivated him to further pursue an opportunity in that field. Using this motivation moved him to Furlong Vision Correction as he saw a chance to use the skills he learned and translate them to the vision correction field and overall patient experience. Exceeding patient expectations when it comes to quality of care as well as overall vision improvement, is what continues to drive him in this venture. Jahred currently attends Evergreen Valley Community College with a major in Business Administration and Marketing. In his spare time, Jahred enjoys filmmaking, cinematography, writing and watching movies (Criterion Collection).
