The Builders' Exchange of Santa Clara County is a nonprofit association of subcontractors, general contractors, architects, engineers, material supplier's, manufacturers' representatives and others closely related to the construction industry. The governing board of the exchange is an elected cross-section of construction business professionals. Contractor's State Licensing Board The Contractors State License Board ( CSLB ) was established in 1929 as the Contractors License Bureau under the Department of Professional and Vocational Standards. Today it is part of the Department of Consumer Affairs. The National Federation of Independent Business is the nation's largest small-business advocacy group representing the consensus views of its 600, 000 members in DC and all 50 state capitals. Western Regional Master Builders Association A safety trade association consisting of California contractors. W.R.M.B.A. has been active in accident prevention and workplace safety since 1955.
