I stayed there several years ago and was pleased with everything. IMy room was cheerful, clean and comfortable. the breakfasts were very good, and the owner even got up at 4AM to make me breakfast the day I left. I felt very at home there.

YUCK! This B&B was formerly the Chateau Victorian, a charming getaway nestled on beach hill in Santa Cruz. BUT NOW it looks like a doped-up drag queen rampaged through the Inn and intermingled black/red/turquoise with the traditional victorian shades of pink and rose. Honestly, pick a theme for your decor and stick with it. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS SPANISH VICTORIAN! ! ! The wood floor in the dining room is beautiful, and the garden still looks OK, but this newly 'renovated' version of a Spanish B&B is just dreaadful. The prices are much too high, and it's nearly impossible to get somone to answer the phone or return a message for reservations/questions.
