Terminix

I feel compelled to add my voice to that of other disgruntled customers of Terminix in Sarasota, FL. I own 1/2 of a paired villa which is occupied by a tenant. I was contacted by the owner of the other side of the building re: a rodent problem in her attic and it was assumed my side was infested as well. She had already engaged the services of Terminix so I did the same to ensure continuity. On March 4, 2015, I contracted with Terminix to remove rodents and secure attic space at said villa. I wrote a check in the amount of $1,002. To date (May 10, 2015), the work has not been completed. Both the salesman and service manager have been contacted by me multiple times. Both made promises they never fulfilled. Finally 2 traps were placed in the attic on April 30, 2015 and never retrieved. My tenant had to remove one trap with a dead rat that was decomposing. Terminix promised to retrieve the traps between 8 and 10 AM on May 4 and failed to do so. It is now over 2 months since I signed the contract and the work is not complete. I am notifying the Sarasota BBB, the Board of Directors for the villa complex, and the Department of Agriculture of the State of Florida. This company is not performing at the level of service expected and is casting a dark shadow on theTerminix name. I do not recommend this company; I am in the process of engaging another company to complete the job Terminix failed to do.
