Colonial Grand at Hammocks

I have to agree with the previous poster. The management at ColonialGrand Hammocks is incompetent and inexperienced. The gate is usually broken and isn't very secure when it's working, because it doesn't close for a few minutes after opening. Yes, the trash/dumpster is always pooring out and is very unkept. My main concern is the pool. Has anyone else been in the pool this summer? One of the underwater lights is floating in the pool and is connected to an electrical source, because it still comes on at night! Yes, the light and the electric wires just float in the water and no one seems to think this is a safety concern!?! Usually the parents clean the pool before allowing kids to get in the water because it's so filthy, but come on - call an electrician and get that floating pool loght fixed! Also, the amount of dog poop around the property is becoming such a problem that it's making it's way into the breezeways and apts., because eventually you will step in it. Oh, and if you renew your lease , expect a 2-5% rent increase EVERY year. Consider that your punishment for sticking around that long. FYI- The Merritt on one and Mercer Point on the other side of the Hammocks are both very nice and beleive it or not less expensive (yes, even the Merritt)

Don't move here. Management is rude and incompetent. The apartment that I lived in leaked, as well as at least three other units in the building. (many of my neighbors have the same problem) The pool is not well maintained, the grill did not work for a whole summer. The gate is broken more than it works and the trash dumpster is always overflowing. Don't sign a lease with these people because once you do, they do not care one bit about you.
