Mr. McCorkle works closely with small businesses in addressing all formation, operation, governance and contracting needs in his business law practice. Mr. McCorkle has also guided many individual owners and shareholders through a myriad of business dissolutions as well as asset and stock sales. Construction Contracts
Mr. McCorkle has extensive experience in the areas of land use and zoning and has worked with countless landowners and developers addressing complicated municipal issues before various local government bodies, including the Savannah City Council, Chatham County Commission, Chatham-Savannah Metropolitan Planning Commission, the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Savannah Historic Review Board. Mr. McCorkle assists his clients in all phases of commercial real estate development, from contract negotiation, acquisition and due diligence, through the process of overcoming zoning and subdivision issues, to construction and lease or sale. Additionally, he regularly negotiates and drafts construction contracts, including, AIA contracts.

Construction Litigation
Colby Longley joined McCorkle, Johnson & McCoy in August 2008 as an associate, and is now partner. Mr. Longley’s practice areas include civil litigation, construction litigation and lien law. Mr. Longley also represents numerous condominium and homeowner associations throughout Coastal Georgia and often gives presentations to such associations and their boards regarding various legal matters. Mr. Longley has been named a Georgia Rising Star by Atlanta Magazine in 2017 and 2018, and selected to Georgia Trend legal elite in 2020.

A Vietnam War veteran, he has a B.A. degree from Armstrong College and received his J.D. from the University of Georgia Law School.
