M.R. Flooring

Hired Mike Remak of M R flooring for carpeting. Gave him a 2500 deposit check and he said it will be done by May 17 or May 18. His boasting was annoying but ignorable. Call him several times to see where we stand and were given numerous excuses. Some of which were:he scratched his cornea and could not work for eight days and the rug warehouse has not picked up the phone in days. He has stated he was doing a six room apparently he could not remember he told us he could not work because of his eye. Since then he has stated he would return the money on May 20, May 21,May 30, and May 31. These days all came and went without Mike returning the money. I ask Mike why he wanted the checks written to him personally, I did not have a concern since he was the owner and have been recommended by a friend. He said that’s how he can keep his prices low. He does not claim as a income and does not number his contract. My wife is disable and pay for the deposit with her money. We did some investigation and found his supposedly store was vacant and were told by a nearby store owner Mike was evicted due to nonpayment of rent. Mike actually deserves no stars. We are presently proceeding with criminal charges and the state Attorney General has the case.
