Our Montessori school offers full day and half-day preschool programs with a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on Dr Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences. Our curriculum also draws on Dr Maria Montessori's teachings and uses Montessori school practices and materials. Our full day program runs from 8.30am until 3.00pm. We also offer two half-day programs, either in the morning (8.30am until 11.30am) or afternoon (12.00pm until 3.00pm). Each multiage classroom provides self and group learning in the areas of numeracy, literacy, sensorial and practical life skills. Children also learn music, art, physical education and Spanish in all our programs. The Discovery MI Preschool Montessori school incorporates learning through play alongside structured learning to ensure the social, academic, physical and emotional development of each child in our school. We believe that learning should be fun as well as challenging and that every child should have the opportunity to learn, create and grow! Discovery MI Preschool Montessori school will participate in the Child Care Subsidy Program, EITC Preschool Scholarship program and the Pre-K Counts program. Families may be eligible to benefit from these subsidies depending on their individual circumstances.
