Headquartered in Seattle, the Northwest Dairy Association is an integrated milk marketing and processing cooperative owned by more than 600 dairy producers. The cooperative s producers ship more than 7.5 billion pounds of milk annually from farms in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Northern California and Utah. Producers who ship to the Northwest Dairy Association can log in to the company s Web site to receive their individual milk weights, components and quality information, as well as general information about the company and the dairy industry. The Northwest Dairy Association operates Darigold, which produces a full line of dairy-based and other products for wholesale, retail, grocery and food service customers. It also produces butter, cheese, milk powder and whey products for institutions, food brokers and food processing companies.
