Everything at the Highliner was fine until all of the good music vanished, the food quality suffered and the service has been a joke. Perhaps if they got some decent bands back in the place and improved the attitude of the help, it would be a place to go again.
Markyenright makes it clear in the opening sentence that he is peeved because his favorite band was banned from The Highliner Pub. His childish response has been to post derogatory reviews everywhere on the web. In September 2007, The Highliner Pub cancelled all bands that did not live up to expectations and bands that had rude or obnoxious followings. The music program has been rebuilt with desireable bands featuring classic rock, swing music and Cajun/Zydeco music. There are more servers than under any prior ownership, the menu selections are greater and the freshness and quality of the food far exceed all past offerings. The Highliner Pub is committed to providing quality entertainment and dancing on the weekends in an atmosphere where you know you will be surrounded by courteous and friendly patrons. A place to have a fun evening and to feel at home.
