Cervical Cancer
Most cases of cervical cancer are caused by certain strains of human papillomavirus (HPV). HPV is very common, affecting approximately 80% of the human population, sometimes with no signs or symptoms of infection. Gynecologists and other providers use a Pap test to check for precancerous and cancerous cells of the cervix that are most often the result of HPV infection. The test is recommended for women beginning at age 21.

Vaughan employs modern technology in its imaging department, including a 64-slice CT Scanner. In a single rotation, this system creates 64 high-resolution anatomical images as thin as a credit card. These images are combined to form a three-dimensional view of the patient's anatomy for the physicians to analyze. From these images, physicians can view such things as blockages in the coronary arteries, as well as the motion and pumping action of a patient's heart.

The rehabilitation program offered by PTplus is a comprehensive interdisciplinary program staffed by a team consisting of a physical therapist, an occupational therapist, a speech pathologist and a licensed physical therapy assistant.
Occupational Therapy
The Occupational Therapist specializes in hand therapy as well as offering the usual occupational therapy. The Speech Therapist specializes in swallowing disorders as well as articulation and cognitive speech disorders.
