Dental Examination

X-rays
Digital radiography (digital x-ray) is the latest technology used to take dental x-rays. This technique uses an electronic sensor (instead of x-ray film) that captures and stores the digital image on a computer. This image can be instantly viewed and enlarged helping the dentist and dental hygienist detect problems easier. A sealant is a thin, plastic coating applied to the chewing surface of molars, premolars and any deep grooves (called pits and fissures) of teeth. More than 75% of dental decay begins in these deep grooves. Teeth with these conditions are hard to clean and are very susceptible to decay. A sealant protects the tooth by sealing deep grooves, creating a smooth, easy to clean surface.

I was born and raised in Seymour, Wisconsin where I graduated high school in 2002. From there, I attended St. Norbert College and graduated in 2005 magna cum laude with a Bachelor's of Science. I then attended the prestigious Marquette University School of Dentistry where I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in May of 2009 while maintaining my place within the top 10 of my class. While in dental school I realized that I love all aspects of dentistry therefore deciding to be a comprehensive general dentist. I enjoy seeing patients of all ages with a variety of dental needs. I am also committed to being a lifelong learner by being involved in the Wisconsin Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association,the American Academy of Clear Aligners and the Brown Door Kewaunee Dental Society while also attending continuing education classes and seminars in order to serve my patients with the highest standards of dental care.
