        Buyer Beware!

        My daughter purchased a VW Jetta. A few days later only to find out that the alternator was bad as well as the main belt. The battery was not charging and only lasts a day or two after charging.

        Basically they said "tough luck", the alternator and belt went bad in the few days after the sale. They would not even discuss the matter. "You purchased as is". The owner was absolutely rude and abrupt on top of it all. Obviously these cars are not as thoroughly checked out as they claim. Have your own mechanic check out before you purchase one of these as is cars. it was not cheap either.

        We do have all of our cars checked before they are placed on sale. The vehicle that the customer is referring to ran perfectly for us, and we never had trouble starting it. The customer did call the dealership about not being able to start the car, because of no fault of the dealership. The office manager tried to give the customer advise, but because it was an as is sale, the dealership had no responsibility in replacing the part.
