Built in 1958, the Pleasant Valley School is located in South Windsor, Conn. The school offers a comprehensive curriculum for students in prekindergarten through grade five. It is governed by the South Windsor Public School District and has an enrollment of more than 450 students. The various subjects offered include English, language arts, reading and writing skills, mathematics, science, social studies, music, world languages, family and consumer science, and health and physical education classes. In addition, the school offers English as a second Language, bilingual education, computer technology and special education. The Pleasant Valley School also provides a gifted and talented program, extended-day kindergarten and migrant education.
