Skils kin is a community-based, nonprofit agency. Located in Spokane, Wash., it offers support and services to people with disabilities and other disadvantages. The agency was founded in 1970 and is managed by a volunteer board of directors. It offers services, such as employment, pathways, residential, payee, contract manufacturing and maintenance work. Its employment service department assists persons with disabilities and prepares them for jobs in the community. The agency s production facility offers services, such as mechanical and electrical assembly, packaging, labeling, kiting, product preparation, shrink-wrapping and laundry. Its ground maintenance program provides lawn maintenance, pruning, herbicide and irrigation. Skils kin is certified by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. It caters to families, individuals, case managers, corporations, businesses, service industry and government vendors.
