        This place is great. I took my computer in on a Thursday right at closing, they had the replacement parts installed by that Tuesday, and when that part ended up being a dud (which I don't believe was their fault at all) they had a replacement part put in within twenty minutes & of course didn't charge me for the switch out. All the employees who helped me were friendly & seemed to know what they were talking about. Will definitely come back here if I have any more computer problems :)

        HORRIBLE experience. If you deal with customers, please do so with respect. If you are condescending to folks, stop it. If you are passive aggressive with folks, stop it. If you require money in advance to provide a service, consider that customer 'in line' ... therefore, you are neither too busy nor too self important to update the customer, who HAS PAID YOU IN ADVANCE. When you are questioned about your diagnosis of the problem AND the services you provide, as it directly relates to public information and services you provide as found on YOUR web site, refrain from telling the customer they were stupid not to realize that the web site / policies/ services provided / had not been updated since 2010. When relaying you are going to provide a refund immediately, please know YOUR company's policy to provide one, i.e. get the cc information AGAIN so that you can follow thru. And finally, always consider each and every customer important, because you never know who you might be serving.

        Fast and Friendly

        After getting a virus on my 2 year old Compaq, Zack was able to remove the virus and save me from being down all day. He also took the time to explain how I got the virus and what to do in the future to keep it from happening again.

        I took my computer in to Altec for the first time and wow, can you talk about great service and very helpful people. The people there are full of great information and very easy to talk too, and went the extra mile to get me exactly what I needed .

        mislead about purchase

        purchased 2 "new" laptop computers.was told they were purchased by a local company who discovered they were not compatible with their office set up and were unused. gave as presents 45 days later-1 had the hard drive go out almost immediately. they were in fact used computers, factory warranty was void and altec only warrantied for 90 days. huge loss of money. new hard drive more then computer worth. went to staples spent about the same and got a extended 3 yr warranty
