Interstate Construction

This company is a scam and accustom to gouging insurance companies. They were contacted by my office to do an ESTIMATE to tarp a roof on a foreclosed property. They were advised it was not a rush or an emergency. They went ahead and completed the job without an estimate or authorization and then charged $988 which was almost double the next highest bid. They claimed they used 8 traps covering 4,944 square feet to cover just 2600 square feet of house (only used 5) and were billing $61.79 an hour for their carpenters (which is a rate equivalent to master trim carpenters) to nail down furring strips. When we refused to pay the inflated price, they hired an attorney and then sent us a summons for $1,988 (the additional for THEIR court and attorney fees). These people are dishonest and price gougers. Find someone else!!
