Ovarian cancer refers to a number of diseases that originate in the ovaries or fallopian tubes. There are several of types of ovarian cancers, the most common being tumors known as high-grade serous carcinoma, which occur in about 70% of ovarian cancer cases. Middle-aged women with family histories of ovarian cancer or who have had endometriosis, breast, uterine, or colorectal cancer are at higher risk of developing ovarian cancer.

Urothelial carcinoma starts in the urothelial cells that line the inside of the bladder, or in urothelial cells in other parts of the urinary tract, such as the ureters, the urethra, and the part of the kidney that connects to the ureter. Because tumors can occur in any of these places, the entire urinary tract should be checked for tumors if bladder cancer is suspected.

Ovarian Cancer
Gynecologic cancer refers to any cancer originating in the female reproductive tract. The five most common types of gynecologic cancers are: cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, vaginal cancer, and vulvar cancer. Each type of gynecologic cancer is unique, with different signs and symptoms, different risk factors and different strategies for prevention. The risk of developing gynecologic cancer increases with age and family history of gynecologic cancer, but all women are at risk for developing gynecologic cancers.
Cervical Cancer
Cervical cancer occurs most often in women over 30 and is usually caused by persistent infection of certain types of human papillomavirus (HPV), which is caused by sexual contact with a person carrying HPV. Nearly half of women who are sexually active will have HPV at some point in their lives, and yet a small percentage of those women develop cervical cancer. Only cervical cancer has screening tests that detect its presence early when treatment can be most effective.

Richard Hitchcock is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. He produces the ultrasound volume studies which are utilized for prostate seed pre-implant treatment planning and provides the physician with ultrasound guidance for prostate seed placement in the operating room. He has worked as a Medical Sonographer for over 15 years.
MRI
Symptoms produced by brain tumors depend on their location, size, rate of growth, and stage. Among other symptoms, brain cancer can cause severe headaches, lack of balance, nausea and vomiting, memory problems, seizures, eyesight issues like double vision, numbness in arms and legs, and muscle jerking. Diagnosing brain tumors usually involves a neurological exam, brain scan (CT or MRI), and a biopsy, if possible. Depending on symptoms, doctors may perform other tests to help confirm the diagnosis and rule out other conditions, such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, benign cysts Pseudotumor Cerebri, which has symptoms that mimic a brain tumor but is not brain cancer.

People that are more susceptible to hepatocellular carcinoma typically suffer from chronic liver diseases, such as cirrhosis of the liver, which is often caused by hepatitis B or C infections or long-term alcohol abuse. Tests to detect hepatocellular carcinoma include blood tests to measure liver function, imaging such as a CT scan or MRI, or a liver biopsy.

Surgery is the most common treatment for basal cell and squamous cell skin cancers, and can usually be done in a doctor’s office or clinic under a local anesthetic.
