Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
An NCS detects how effectively a nerve sends and receives signals from the spine. Carpal tunnel syndrome and other nerve disorders are discovered through an NCS. This test involves placing electrodes on your skin. The examiner will then administer a small electrical current which will cause your nerves to fire. While the charge is small enough to cause no damage to your body, it allows the physician to see how well your nerves are delivering impulses.

It starts with making proper diagnosis. Your pain may be from LSS but it can also be similar to other types of spinal disorders. You will have a thorough clinical evaluation by collecting of your medical history and performing physical examination. Studies may be done such as MRI, CT, flexion/extension x-rays, EMG, and/or bone density report.
