I have been getting acrylic french manicure for years. I decided to go here only because it was near where I was running errands. I like my nails short and the white french part to be a natural thickness, not take up half the nail bed. First of all the lady didn't roughen up the whole nail bed, she missed the edges but yet, managed to tear up my cuticles, so the nail started to fall off after only 4 days. As she began applying the white french part of the nail, I told her I didn't like them that thick, I liked them to look more natural, smaller. She started arguing with me, saying its better that way so when the nail grows out, it will look natural. I said I understand that's why some people do that, but I prefer it to look natural from the get go. She kept arguing and finally began to soak my hand to take it off and started on the other hand. After starting on the second hand she said, "Is that better?" I said no, its exactly the same as the other hand and I held my other hand up. So then she took off the white tips on the second hand. She didn't let the white tip soak long enough and began to grind it off so much that my nail got so thin it was almost non-existent. So now I have all this white chunky residue hanging from my nail as she starts applying the nail again. In the mean while she got some of the white nail goo on my jacket that she said would come right out. I've washed my jacket twice and its still there, I'm going to try nail polish remover on it. She gets done applying and smoothing out the clear nail acrylic. It is extremely thick and lopsided on almost every nail. I asked her to grind it down more and I pointed out how lop sided and thick it was. She could not grind off the white residue under my nail bed, she said it would fall off eventually. She grinned underneath my nail bed so much that she took off chunks of the white part of the nail which gave an appearance of a chipped nail. Horrible job, horrible.
