Not for Children with Special Needs!
After our child was diagnosed with autism while in the public school, we went to the principal, Jennifer Snow, to see if they could work with our son. She assured us that they would be a great fit for him, based on the smaller class sizes and the quality of teachers. We were so happy find a school that could help and also loved the fact that it was a Christian based atmosphere. He loved it! He attended the second and third grade. His grades were always good and he was willing to do the extra homework that needed to be done to keep up. His challenge was sometimes performing in a classroom setting. But he completed anything that was sent home. He loved his teachers and the students in every grade knew his name. He loved going to chapel and learning about God.
Then at the end of the 3rd grade, we were called in a meeting with Mrs. Snow and his teacher. Mrs. Snow said she felt as a school that could not continue to help him. She felt the four grade teacher could not handle a child with autism. She felt that his year-end testing could hurt their overall school score and they need to maintain the highest grade possible. We were devastated! So we were told we would have to find another school. Our little guy stills talks about how much he loved it and does not understand why he had to leave. For the first time he feels there is something wrong with him, because he could not go there anymore. We have found out since then that this has happened to other families that have children with special needs. We wish we would have never put him in Family of Christ. It’s hard to explain to an autistic child that he was not good enough to go to a Christian School. I can’t help but ask “What would Jesus Do” and I think he would find a way to embrace a child who needs a little extra assistance. His end of the year test scores came back higher than grade level in most subjects. But it was sent to us after we were forced to remove him from the school.

This is a very racist school. they do not want minority children. The principal and admin assistant are rude and racist. You check out how many african american children go there, they are not tolerant and do not display any christlike nature. they refused to take my daughter at their stupid school and lied that they don't have any vacancies. My neighbour applied after me and her daughter got in. Is this what christianity is about? shame on you all shame.
