Diar Market

A nice Persian market in Thousand Oaks. No more drive to valley needed to buy Persian sheep-cheeze, tea or cucumbers. Good luck.

I found this store by accident about a year and a half ago. They had so many things I had never heard of before that I spent about an hour in there just looking around. I finally bought a jar of "sour cherry preserves" from Greece, which turned out to be one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted. I used it for many different things. Unbelievable on top of cheesecake, on pancakes, to make a gourmet PB & J sandwich, and to stuff between two pieces of French Toast along with cream cheese. I did find some pit remnants in some of the cherries though, so for my purposes, next time I buy, I will get the syrup version.

I will return next week to find some more treasures for my kitchen.
