Valdosta Transmission

We were on vacation in the Valdosta area recently and our transmission went out. Everyone’s biggest fear, on vacation from Wisconsin and a holiday (New Years) weekend besides. Thought we were really in trouble but Richard at Valdosta Transmissions was a true Godsend! He got us in right away, diagnosed, and was able to rebuild our transmission in an unbelievably timely manner. We had our vehicle back in time to make the drive home and had absolutely no problems. Price was very reasonable also!! Was maybe even less than we would have paid back home. The care, quality, professionalism, and service we received was absolutely wonderful. I would recommend these guys to anyone and if you are traveling in the area and need help, check them out!

All owners! Before you go anywhere go by Valdosta Transmissions. I work on old cars and do my own maintenance as a former aircraft mechanic. However, I'm not always around, my son's Charger had shifting and rpm issues. after a visit to another shop and the dealer, most were wanting to replace parts 699-1800 estimates. Well, Richard and his tech, took it for a spin and noticed a noise - what he recognized as a cavatating pump in the trans. He put it on the rack and took a look and noticed some pressure lines and cooling lines were removed when AC system was repaired about a month ago leaving the Transmission 3-4 quarts Low, (we spent several weeks getting people to look at it, and rarely driving) this, after another shop 'checked the fluid' ! needless to say, a VSU student is happy he didn't have to spend his whole check and some of mine on repairs that were not needed. Although it happened after maintenance for something else, take it to someone that is going to check the little things, listens and troubleshoot the issue. - THANKS!

Look you can take your transmission anywhere and you can get your transmission done but is it right how would you know? I took my car to Richard and had it checked after taking it to two other shops who quoted me 1500 to 1800 to overhaul my manual trans . The shifter had lot of play in it , making it difficult to shift . Richard told me I didn't need a rebuilt trans just a shifter repair kit he fixed it for 400 and it works like new. Thank u guys your awesome !!!!!!

I recently had some extensive work done by Richard and his team at Valdosta Transmission. The quality of work performed and care he showed for me was excellent! I am a college student and he knew that having transportation was imperative, Richard stayed late (2 1/2 hours) after closing time to ensure my vehicle was delivered to me the same day I brought it in. He provides quality customer service and makes accurate recommendations for what work needs to be done to fix troublesome issues and does it for a far better price than I have been quoted by multiple other mechanic shops in Valdosta. He has proven to me his expertise in automobile repair and customer care, and because of that, I can finally say that I have a mechanic that I can trust and will happily recommend.

I was on my way from Orlando Florida to Macon Georgia and broke down in Valdosta, I call all around , it was Saturday and no one was open . So I called valdosta transmissions and they were open , the persons name was Richard he was a pleasure to talk to and had my car towed to his shop . When we got there he said he could check it out for us. We were so worried broke down out of town and we were worried about the cost . So Richard came back and told us it was a minor shifter cable issue and he could repair it so we could get home ok so he charge us 55.00 tow and a 45.00 temporary repair . We was so happy that Richard is a honest person and really helped us , most people would have told us it needed an overhaul , we need more shops like Valdosta transmissions in this world . Their honest and know what there doing,Richard is a great person and he made our day and saved our trip . We wish him and his shop great success .
