Jaymer-Que Southern BBQ

I've had a lot of bbq and my food was amazing! By far the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had. I will definitely be eating here again.It's also nice to see restaraunts where they have special nights when the kids can eat free. As a parent with a picky eater, I appreciate that!

These guys understand the virtue of patience when it comes to BBQ. True smoked meats are both tender and flavorful and this place does it right. There aren't words to describe the taste. You just have to experience the food. Where else can you go and be awed by just eating a burger? Do yourself a favor and just try it. Best BBQ around Tampa Bay. ( I don't work for them, I am just a very impressed customer)

Thats right folks.. I have tried BBQ from coast to coast and overseas. This takes the prize. LOVE LOVE the ribs.. no sauce needed. However the sauce is great. Now I will tell you that I do not care for brisket, its a dry, tasteless piece of meat.. well I stand corrected and I would shut my mouth but its is full of the most MOIST, TENDER, MELT IN YOUR MOUTH, BETTER THAN PRIME RIB Brisket in the country.

The perfect smoke ring, not over smoked, and wide selection of meats and sides are just what a body needs in the days of up and down stock markets and job worries.

The place makes you think you out on the road somewhere 40 years ago coming to Fl when it was 2 lane highways and Mom and Pop places where the normal thing. Now its a thing of the past.

Jaymers takes you back there when you set outside on the rustic tables and you talk to you friends and family. Someone is tending the smokers and in the distance you can still hear the traffic. After awhile you notice your shoulder drop and your actually talking to your family and laughing about the day and eating the best BBQ and building memories with your family/friends.

I was able to meet the "Jamyer" next door at his ladies place (which I didnt get to try on this trip). He is man who's passion is BBQ. Do what you like and it doesnt get any better than that.

So on my next trip from Pace Fl (That would be the Pan Handle Folks) my first stop will be there even if it has to be take out.

While I am not a professional BBQ Judge (although I have been asked to be one) I eaten a lot of BBQ from all across the US including Tampa, Florida, Washington DC, Montgomery, Alabama and Houston, Texas. I'll have to tell you that the BEST pork BBQ I've ever had is at Jaymer BBQ in Valrico, FL. The taste is out of this world; so good that when they ask me what kind of sauce I want, I tell them none. I don't want to cover up the flavor of the meat. And no, I am not related to the owners nor do I own stock, it's just great BBQ!
