Ventura Avenue Self Storage

I am writing this on behalf of a complaint i would like to file against Ventura avenue self storage. To start i have had all of my belongings in this facility for nearly 3 years since i lost my condo. I was in this locker about one year ago with no issues. I couldn't get my belongings out of their due to a bypass surgery and a couple of strokes i am and currently recovering from to undergo another medical procedure which compromises my immune system. When i went recently to this facility to get some of my belongings i noticed they were exetremly saturated with rodent excrement and urine. I have two exotic cats for fourteen years in which i cannot bring outside scents or items in which have been exposed to other animals not to mention my already compromised immune system. When i contacted the manager whom also witnessed and partiecapated in the clean-up of the rodent excrement he had to notify their main office. When i explained to the office that im a disabled senior that gets paid once a month they stated to be there at 9 am the following morning. I was there thinking they were going to help me to be meet by two unliecned laborers whom grabbed and immediatly in front of me began to destroy every furniture item. After they hauled off my belongings they left me there with no word or plan on to where i go about to have my furniture and electronics replaced. I had to call them to find out how to go about this they asked me about how much i had valued at loss i stated five thousand and was met with being called an extortionist and 1500 was as high as they would meet me. I felt that that offer alone was not only unreasonable but disresecpful at the very least consiterating that i trusted them with my world. In the process of this they have assured me constantly " dont worry this is a good company we will take care of you" I know that my stuff was old but it was well kept and clean and mine

To replace in this market with the germ free stuff it may cost well over the five thousand i requested. Had i known bill kindle was only going to offer me 1500 dollars for my belongings, i would have used that for sanders and varnish and laborers to help refinsh my furniture that was smashed in front of my face. I am heartbroked not only for the lost of my belongings but the insult to my intergerity

I found Ventura Ave Storage in the Yellow Pages of The Ventura Phonebook. We ere relocating to Ventura For my husbands job .After making a few phone calls to Different storages for prices and availability, I called Ventura Ave Self Storage. The Man that answered the phone was very helpful , and very nice. Explained Every thing I needed to know . When My husband and I arrived 2 weeks later to rent a unit ...We were both surprised to find the facility was very clean and the Managers Very friendly .The unit we rented was clean , and well lit. Also each unit has its own alarm , my Husband liked that alot. Overall I would have to advise anyone that is looking for a storage to call them . And one more thing They have the cleanest rest room of any storage we've rented before
