Deep Tissue Massage
Look, I am from Atlanta where everybody & their mama is a *** masseuse. So that means you can find black owned massage parlors all over the city. That being said, I've been looking for a black owned spa ever since I came back to DC area. I found Paris Alexander online & decided to give them a whirl. I initially scheduled a 30 minute deep tissue massage just to see if I liked the masseuse/atmosphere. The spa is GORGEOUS. CLEAN, with a nice atmosphere & soft music playing in the waiting area. The receptionist, Ms. Jackie, asked if I wanted something to drink. Told I her no, considering I had just eaten at Steam Cafe across the street. Even though I was early, I didn't have to wait long for my masseuse, Ms. Gladys. When Ms. Gladys came to get me to take me to the room, I told her that she could be as heavy handed as she liked with me. MMMMAAAANNNNN, about 5 minutes into my massage, I told Ms. Gladys that I wanted to utilize her for an HOUR instead of 30 minutes! LOL!! She WORKED all these kinks/knots out of my problem areas (back, arms, calves & feet). In between moments of bliss/me becoming a drooling idiot, Ms. Gladys & I chatted. She told me she has been a masseuse for over 20 years...& it shows!:-) She noticed immediately how tight my muscles were too & told me to stretch more often. She had me FLOATING!! So much so that I had planned to do a little shopping/running around after my spa appointment. Girl bye! Ms.Gladys stretched me out so good that all I wanted to do was go home & go to sleep! Alls I know is that I will definitely be trekking over to the spa whenever I can to see her. My body is so appreciative of being pampered again!:-)

I had a hot stone massage and it was excellent! The salon is comfortable, the staff is wonderful and the service is great. I thoroughly enjoyed my appointment!

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the couple's massage; it was a great way to begin our Valentine's Day. The staff was exceptional and welcomed us with champagne, chocolates, and a lit fire in the lobby as we waited. We'll definitely be back in the future!
Hawaiian Lomi-Lomi Massage
I am a loyal fan of the Paris Alexander Day Spa! I hadn't been there in a while as I am starting a new business, but decided to treat myself on my birthday. I wanted the Lomi Lomi massage- which is rare to find. The Spa worked diligently to find the masseuse who provides this service. Their service and dedication is amazing and the quality of their products is outstanding. I continue to recommend this Spa to others.

I have been going to Paris Alexander Day Spa for about two years now. The service is amazing! I go every six weeks for eyebrow waxing and a facial. I definitely see the effects. Ms. Paris takes good care of my skin! I have also gotten massages, manicures and pedicures a few times, usually as part of a seasonal special. Those services were excellent as well, although the facials are by far my favorite service. I always receive superior service at Paris Alexander Day Spa and would enthusiastically recommend the spa to anyone!

I lived in DC for some time and this was my day spa of choice. Loved the packages that were offered and you got a sense that everyone knew what they were doing. The manicures and pedicures are always excellent (Kudos to Helen for always doing a superb job!) and Gladys does a great job with the massages:-). This time around, while visiting DC for the weekend, I decided to go with some friends for some girl time and pampering. I did the "pamper yourself' package which consisted of a mani-pedi as well as a facial. I did the facial with Paris herself and was very impressed with her professionalism and knowledge. I was literally glowing after we were finished (still am:-). I really appreciate the fact that they don't push products on you, in an attempt to get a sale. At the end I asked Paris about a product that she used during the facial and she was so sweet in answering all of my questions about it, that I ended up purchasing it. Overall, excellent day spa! I will continue to go there everytime I am in DC.

This was my Mom's forst pedicure. She was thoroughly excited and pleased with the pertsonnel and the service she received. She will be back!
