Overall

Have been with Dr. Leeth for years and recently decided to part ways. Over the years, have always felt he is more concerned about profit. He again had his greed n display on 12/23. By chance I needed to be seen for allergic conjunctivitis. Had I not come in on 23rd, would have seen Dr. Leeth in January for my yearly exam. He demanded that I have test(s) done that day costing hundreds of dollars. I refused, so he belligerently went on about how I do not take my condition seriously, continuing his rudeness even as I was leaving, in front of other patients. I will never recommend him to any friends or family. Taking my care to UVA.

Arthritis
Medical conditions. People with rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, and thyroid problems are more likely to have symptoms of dry eyes. Also, problems with inflammation of the eyelids (blepharitis), inflammation of the surfaces of the eye, or the inward or outward turning of eyelids can cause dry eyes to develop.
Pediatric Care
According to a study published by the American Academy of Pediatrics, vision screenings were not attempted on more than 60 percent of the three-year-old children in pediatricians' offices. They found that in general, the younger the child, the less likely it was that vision screening was attempted. (An attempt was defined as 10 or more seconds spent trying to get the child to cooperate with vision screening.)

Dr. Rodammer’s philosophy is to thoroughly care for patients in a compassionate manner. He has a true desire to help patients using the latest technology to improve their quality of life. Dr. Rodammer manages several eye diseases, such as glaucoma and macular degeneration, and works closely with the best surgeons who can assist should the need arise.
Ophthalmology
Dr. Davis has lectured nationally on topics related to contact lenses and anterior segment disease. As the fifth optometrist in the United States to earn the designation of Certified Medical Investigator, Level IV, Dr. Davis enjoys lecturing to law enforcement officers and prosecutors on vision-related traffic safety and horizontal gaze nystagmus. She is a member of the Waynesboro Police Foundation. She served six years on the Board of Trustees for the Virginia Optometric Association (VOA) and continues to stay active in the VOA committee structure. Dr. Davis is a Fellow in the Virginia Academy of Optometry. She is the past Virginia representative for the American Optometric Association’s Political Action Committee. She currently serves as a legislative key person for the VOA. She is a visiting Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Virginia and a previous member of Alcon’s Speakers’ Alliance. Dr. Davis was selected as Virginia’s Young Optometrist of the Year in 2007.
Macular Degeneration
The longer the eyes are exposed to solar radiation, the greater the risk of developing cataracts, eye cancer, pterygium (surfer’s eye) or macular degeneration later in life. It is not clear how much exposure to solar radiation will cause damage. So, whenever you spend time outdoors, wear a wide-brim hat as well as quality sunglasses that offer UV protection.
Laser Eye Surgery
LASIK (laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis), is the most popular refractive surgical procedure. In this procedure, a laser is used to permanently change the shape of the cornea (the clear covering on the front of the eye) to correct common vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia. This improves vision and reduces a person's need for glasses or contact lenses.
