Junaluska Animal Hospital PA

May 2018 my faithful, loving companion was diagnosed with cancer I had her for 2 more weeks after the diagnosis. The day came to euthanize her and I went to Lake Junalaska. Prior to going I called the crematory and the evening of the euthanization I told the nurse who was going to do the cremation. The morning after I called Lake Junalaska animal hospital to take my number and please keep me informed of when she would be picked up as I was so devastated I didn’t really want to talk with anyone. Well about 5:30 that evening I called the hospital to find out what was going on and they had no answer. I was angry and devastated because my poor beloved dog had laid there all night and day in her own excretion from passing. My dog deserves more then that. The manager at the hospital said she would find out what the problem was and get back with me. Well she finally did call I missed her call and called back to here from her directly and she “was unavailable” so I decided to wait so my anger could subside and I just got a letter in the mail saying they wouldn’t take me back as a client. I had no intentions on going back. Prior to the euthanization when she Jd her first diagnosis they had given me quotes and was charged beyond what they quoted. I didn’t have the funds at the time so a friend had helped pay for everything and I called hem to say hey this isn’t what you quoted and they got upset over that. When I went to pick my Halle up the day of the diagnosis they wouldn’t let me see my dying dog because they had not been paid yet. I would never recommend Lake Junalaska animal hospital to anyone.

My dog received nothing less than excellent care from Dr. Jeffery Alt and the amazing team at Junaluska Animal Hospital, following her emergency surgery. Along with the care she received a lot of love and attention from all staff and I highly recommend! Linda Matney

Excellent staff and compassionate Dr's that LOVE what they do. We highly recommend JAH to all of our friends, as they are the most caring & knowledgeable Dr's we have come across for our pets. We never feel rushed at appointments and all of our questions are answered. We have even received a number of followup calls from the Dr's themselves.....Amazing!!!

The staff is so friendly and knowledgable. They never hurry or speak loudly to the animal. I love that they remember my pet from visit to visit.

Drs Bill and Beth Snyder are the best. They are very up to date on info and always answer questions in detail.

This staff is awesome... Our babies are always treated so well. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you feel at ease leaving your pets to board- very helpful and always willing to answer any questions about any treatments provided. I was really unsure about leaving our pets for a long weekend stay, but they were happy and well cared for from what I could see. I will use their boarding services again.

Dr. Alt is extremely knowledgeable and caring. He listens to your concerns and will educate you about medical issues. He and the staff care about your pet.

"Dr. Mike" and all the staff have been so kind, caring and concerned for my "fur-kid". I was hooked from the first visit. Thank you so much -- I whole-heartedly recommend anyone in need of a vet care family to call Junaluska Animal Hospital!

I think this clinic needs to be recognized for the high quality and reasonable prices it provides. I couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism and quality of service they provided me and my dog while their costs of service was less than half of two of the better known clinics in Waynesville. I just want to say thank you to all the staff.
