        This consignment store is truly an adult adventure playground and treasure hunt for those looking for the unusual and unknown. One of the most unusual items I have come across there, was a Chinese ship model or "Junk" carved out of what looked like a solid piece jade and was about 3 feet long. It was carved from a large stone and took on the shape of a dragon- Right out of a fantasy novel or film. Amazing and unusual and at a reasonable price.

        They have a real knack of displaying items in different "Themed" areas. - Like the Bedroom, Kitchen, Den, etc., and everything from old furniture, bric a brac antiques to very modern pieces as well. Even an area dedicated to a collection of corning ware from the 1960's and much more! If you are looking for that one item that would complete your den, bedroom or even the man cave, this might just be the place.

        Spoiler alert- If an item doesn't sell within the first month, then start reducing the price until it does.

        What a fantastic shopping expe...

        What a fantastic shopping experience at Scallywags ! The store is always one of the places we stop in whenever we're in the Waynesville area. We just never know what treasures we'll find there, and their "I shoulda bought it" slogan is right on ! I've hesitated a few times on a purchase, only to find it "gone" when I've returned . The staff is always friendly,helpful and knowledgeable ... and Jake "the greeter" is one adorable pup !



        The GREAT news is that after 5 yrs, they'll be expanding into a much larger space just above the current location. That translates to a bigger and better shopping experience for everyone.



        I highly recommend anyone to make it a place to "stop in" often .
