How many times have you gone to a big warehouse music store and found yourself alone in a room with twenty people and everyone seems so busy and into themselves that you feel you've take an "invisible" pill?



Not so at West Valley Music and especially with its founder, Jeff Gold.



Besides being an accomplished composer and player himself, Jeff knows music, instruments, and importantly, how to inspire young and old to reach to their best through song and self-expression.



I credit Jeff's acknowledging manner, his welcoming way, and his stellar playing as among my formative influences during the composing and later recording of my "Life Is in Session" CD, as several of the songs therein were worked out or sparked at Jeff's invitation.



Jeff and the staff at West Valley Music Center are a vital part of our music community, sponsoring events and actively participating in the wider community at local schools and at their own dedicated performance space.



Small this store might be, WVMC prices competitively and discounts generously (when they can).



Too bad there weren't six stars to give.

I bought a Godin guitar from this place that was all solid wood and plays like a dream. The price was shockingly low and I like the Godin more than my 25-year old Martin. One of my favorite music stores.

This is a warmly, unpretentious place where everyone's needs -- from beginners to advanced -- are addressed by knowledgeable staff who are all passionate about music. Very cool place. We've purchased several instruments for our children at West Valley -- the quality was excellent, the prices were competitive, and the after-sales service is the best I've ever seen at any store. Highly recommended.

I was looking for a place to send my 2 sons for music lessons after a terrible experience at another store in the area and I looked in the phone book and found this place. What a difference from the last place! The store was clean and pleasant the teachers were very experienced and the owner was very nice and helpful. We got 2 great instruments a sax and a trumpet on a rent to own program and the kids are now really happy with their teachers. I don't usually write reviews but this place is a real find .
