We were trying to have kittens We found adopted. We drove up from Ft. Lauderdale because everyone said to go there. We tried calling and left many messages that were not returned. The smart aleck blond hair girl with glasses at the reception in the dome first asked us to keep them for another week. That was not possible as we were leaving on a work related trip two days later. Then when she found out we were not from WPB laughed at us and said they would not take them. We drove an hour one way to take them there. I didn't find the humor in that at all. I had something incredibly nasty to say on the tip of my tounge but I turned around and walked away. Great representation Peggy Adams. We are trying to do the right thing. She is just the type of person will make people dump animals out of frustration. To have someone truly lacking compassion at the front of center of your operation is unbelieveable.

YP had wrong directions! Don't follow them! Once you get there it's great. Got a sweet little kitty in a clean and friendly place. They are doing a good job as far as I can see.

I adopted my dog from them and they were great. After looking into other rescues that required a lot of paperwork, home visits and what not, I was happy to find the process there was simple and fast.
I had to wait for the dog to be spayed, while I waited i was anxious and called a couple of times to check on that and never had a problem reaching and employee. I picked up Boo a week after I adopted and yes, he was sick with kennel cough but I have been told that is common in boarding places. After he got over I returned to work regular hours and he started having separation anxiety issues. I contacted them again and I think I had to leave a voicemail to the behaviour specialist but he contacted me right away. He gave me advice and sent materials that were very helpful and with patience and time Boo got used to the routine of me going to the office daily and going out sometimes in the weekend and I owed it to them (and some friend gave wise advice too). I don't take Boo there for his health care because we don't live in the area, but my experience with them throughout the adoption process and adjustment period has been great.

My dog has been there for over a week. He was dropped off there after he got out from under my patio fence. I have called and called and I have been hung up on numerous times. My dog is 15 years old and they want to have him fixed, knowing that surgery is dangerous for a 6lb, 15year old dog. Everyone that works there is extremely rude, and unprofessional. After a week STILL not one person can let me know that he is ok, or will have surgery because they keep saying that they are waiting for a doctor. They are going to kill my dog and not care at all.

I have had my dog for the last 18 years and last year he was diagnosed with degenerative Myelopothy, and it has been heart breaking watching him fail. Now that he is in the final stages, my boyfriend and I decided that it was time. This was the hardest decision I have ever made in my entire life. I scheduled an appointment 2 days prior and when we got there they said they had no record of my appointment, after we paid in full. They delivered this information insincerely and accusingly. They said they could pencil me in, but I couldn’t be present in the room. I have had my dog for 18 years I do not want the last thing for him to see is the inside of a kennel, frightened and alone. After spending a day full of anxiety and tears we were told that we would have to come back tomorrow if I would like to be present in the room at the time of euthanasia. I had to leave there with my dog, to return in the morning to do it all over again. I am in total shock, and I would not recommend this service to anyone who loves their animal.

To Ken that wrote a review you are very right. I used to work there, and the reason why your cat got a infection is because a lot of the Vet Techs do not wear gloves and they do as quick as they can do it. It is a butcher clinic. All there animals there are severely sick, and they do put at least five a day. They say there a no kill that is NOT true because they put down animals for aggression or medical or if they can't find fosters. They have way to many animals to take care for and that is why they are all dirty and ill. I seen the people who work in treatments leave medicine out and it is no good and they still use it. It is extremely dirty and I would never bring my animal in there.

I want to let anyone know who is interested in possibly using Peggy Adams for any services...I am beyond shocked by how one of their employees behaved while I was attempting to schedule a service through them. Not only did they issue me an email stating that my service was cancelled for unknown reasons, coming later to find out that they expected payment before the day of the procedure, which was fine, (but there's a right and wrong way to go about telling someone that). I worked a long day yesterday and missed a phone call from her where upon listening to her vm, it was rude yesterday as well. "Let us know so we can give your spot to someone else." Well geez, thanks for making us feel important...but after waking up this morning, I listen to my voicemail and this extremely trashy woman had left me a Vm yet again, mouthing off and being passive aggressive Bc I had emailed her back and accused them of being BS, which it was. I called the number back, and instead of a hello or good morning, she answers "hello Jennifer" in a condescending tone. I could not even get a word out Bc she was speaking over me the entire time and speaking to me in a beyond rude manner. I felt like I was dealing with the local DMV. I would never trust these people again with one of my pets. Whether I was right or wrong with my protocol for scheduling, you simply do not treat customers this way, end of story. This woman seems very angry with life, and if how she treated me is any indicator, I'd hate to see how she treats someone's cherished pet. Seems that they are mor concerned with how many animals they can crank in and out than quality of care. I mostly expect some answer to this post in another rude manner from either that woman or someone else, rather than anyone attempting to correct the situation. Of course, there's no correcting it at this point Bc I won't go there. I choose to never do business with this company ever again and I urge anyone dealing with the decision of choosing either a rescue or a vet to please save yourself the heartache and go elsewhere.

I only have good things to say about Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. They have so many services available not only for people looking to adopt but for current pet owners as well. The facilities are very clean. I would trust them with my dogs and cats. I would definitely recommend Peggy Adams to anyone and proudly support them!

JUST THE FACTS...YOU DECIDE. I took my three female cats to Peggy Adams for spaying. I thought I would save some money versus the vet and hey, they do so many. What could go wrong? Within two days after the surgeries, one cat had to be rushed to the emergency room for an infection and an abscess from the surgery. The next day she had to be taken to the hospital (not Peggy Adams) to be operated on. The other two cats also had infections and had to be treated and kept several nights at the vet. That's the short version. The whole ordeal cost us several sleepless nights, unnecessary dress on the cats and almost $4,000.

Two and a half years ago I got my Sabrina from Peggy Adams [ Cat ] she was 6 years old and had an abused past , believe me not her fault . Because of my legs and back I can't always walk a dog , so I got a cat. Sabrina is the best pet I've ever had . She talks alot which is so cool [ sometimes annoying ] but non the less really cool . I never knew I could love an animal so much . I really love coming home to her because of the way she greets me and loves me . Thank you Peggy Adams for one of my best friends , especially Nickie for matching us up .
