Established in 1975, Community Enterprises is a nonprofit organization that offers a range of employment, education and housing options for individuals with various disabilities. It provides services for individuals with psychiatric and developmental disabilities, dual diagnosis, blindness, traumatic brain injury and autism. The organization administers a supported living program that includes outreach case management and direct care services for individuals with physical disabilities. Community Enterprises conducts the Transition School -to-Work program, which features assessment, job development and placement assistance. It is funded by various agencies, including the New York Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities, and the Massachusetts Department of Mental Retardation. The organization is approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, also known as CARF.
