I was an employee at this GreenOak, MI location. Needless to say, I worked extremely hard under extremely strict conditions. I was praised extensively by my clients, yet was criticized by management for not working fast enough, being too helpful...Many clients called or came in only when I was in to fit them, assist them with what they weren't really certain of. I was told my management that a very very pleased employee write a wonderful letter to them - which I was not allowed to see. However, I would love to come back to work in retail and at another J. C. Penney store. Morale was low at the Green Oak locatin where I worked -- due to fear of losing one's job for whatever reason. I am retired from a very professinal fast paced career, worked well with the employees under me and my counterparts. I love the customer -- at Penney's. They have been a joy to work with, they are just a joy. So appreciative and yes, I personally felt I met I was able to bring sales in, and bring smiles to customers -- without chit chatting. So why was on let go? Told I did not report back from medical leave (back surgery and one other major surgery) at the given date. Justified I'm sure -- surgery and their letting me go for this so called reason. I was reminded when I mentioned I needed surgery that I told them it didn't need to be done right away, for fear again. but I had to hve it done like now. I believe in the quality, customer serive that J.C. Penney employess should and must provide. I'm pleased mainly because I like to sales as I worked in sales as a full time employee for the Big Three. I believe providing quality in our product line and feel the person in the lingerie area was appreciated for assisting with sizing, suggestions. Please -- give me the opportunity to be employed once again at wonderful J.C.Penneys -- in the area I now live. Pleaseallow me to work at a J.C. Penney out. If you aren't happy with me, my work pase
