If you're looking for a diamond in the rough...this store actually has them!You have to check out this quaint little shop that sits right on the road on Fairbanks Ave in Winter park closer to I-4. They have everything! I found some great crystals and some minerals I've never even heard of before. There are also decorative items and lots of fossils. You definitely must do your early holiday shopping there.

The owner, John, is a wealth of knowledge. If you have any questions about your own collections or unique items, stop in, he will enjoy talking to you.

Ancient Artifact and Treasures is a wonderful store! I don't know of any other store that has such a diverse selection of interesting, rare, beautiful and unusual "one of a kind" items under one roof. Where else can you go to find a lunar meteorite, 300 million year old fossil trilobite, two thousand year old ancient coin or an ancient ceramic work of art crafted by creative hands millennia ago? There are also many nice pieces of jewelry, unique decorative and collectable things that are very affordable and would make great gifts. John, the owner, is very knowledgeable in all aspects. He's always happy to provide interesting details and insight. Also, one can be confident that any item for sale is authentic and exactly as described. If you are on the internet and browsing the website and don't see what you are looking for, just ask. There's a good chance that John might have it. There is something for almost anyone. We always look forward to the next time we go to the store for a visit and to see new and unusual things. It's a great way to spend an afternoon!

This store has all kinds of cool stuff ranging from recent to over 200 million years old. Want to see a REAL dinosaur egg fossil? Artifacts from the Ming Dynasty? Rare coins and notes? Giant sharks teeth (like 6 inches long!!) Minerals and crystals of all kinds including some really nice geodes? Well, at Ancient Artifacts you can find them all - and LOTS more.But the store itself would mean little if not for the owner. John is the most knowledgeable person I have ever known when it comes to antiquity. Even if you don't buy anything (I bet you will!) just talking with John about things from the past can be a real eye-opening experience. You'll learn more in an hour or two than you ever did in a history class, and enjoy it a whole lot more too!There's even a mystery to be solved at the store - the "magic" carpet. It creeps across the floor. No one has yet explained why. Stop in and see for yourself - and see if YOU can explain what's going on!

I agree with other review this store is amazing and john is so knowledgeable and you could spend hours looking at all the great things in the store. LOVEi IT. Great place for kids to explore

Wow! Love the blurb. If you haven't been to this store, you are truly missing something awesome! I'm not crazy crazy about history but I love this store. Everyone is so nice. But most important, John, the owner, has so much knowledge that I feel like I don't have to know everything. He has these cards that you take with you so you never forget what it is you have. Love that idea. But mostly, when I look at everything there, I somehow appreciate what happened before me and how we have what we have today. When you think about it all, it makes you want to take better care of the things we have today, cause one day someone will look on these remains to see what our legacy will be. This is not your average retail store, come and be AMAZED!!!
