The Park at Sutton Place

The park at Sutton place, tries to be an upscale community,



let's review the features,



* the security gate never works, tenants are locked out of the property and lines form all hours of the night and there is no assistance from the maintenance hotline.



* the leasing office really does not care to hear any maintenance issues.



* there is a criminal element of theft in cars and apartments (which lead us to move from the complex after the crappy windows were broken into)



* and there is a safety concern with the wiring hazard of the apartments, by that I mean my neighbors have a switch in their apartment that controls my kitchen.



it's no surprise a building fire accrued that eliminated 8 apartments by the back swimming pool last year.



don’t get fooled by this blue rock lifestyle, it’s a bait and switch all the way.

The worst. Absolutely the worst. I just wrote a nice long review of the place, but accidentally deleted it. I'll leave you with this. The place is run by scum. The management is not only condescending, but the chubby lady who runs the place... She might be the devil. Such an obnoxious lady. She'll scam you for every cent she can. The place caught on fire twice (Maybe more) in the year I lived there. One fire burned a whole building down. So good luck. Also, theres a good chance half way through your stay you'll wake up at night and your walls will be crawling. Don't worry, there isn't a gas leak. Thousands or cockroaches have invited themselves into your apartment. Actually, I kind of have this strange feeling their friends with the manager lady. I was robbed at gun point at the back of the complex, on the third floor of my building. Want to know why? Because druggies make their home there. If all this wasn't enough to stop you from renting there... Casey Anthony used to hang out with her BF there all the time in her heyday... So the parking spot you parked in potentially housed Casey Anthony's car concealing her poor dead decomposing baby's remains. This is the closest to hell you'll get while living in Winter Park.

The management is horrible. The fat one in the office has the worst attitude and is filled with nothing but lies. What I find to by funny is that she's simply getting away with it. The dike looking one that also "runs" the place is the most cold hearted and selfish individual I have ever met. She'll do anything to manipulate you into thinking she's helping you out. The next time you're in the office make sure you pull out a calculator and don't pay a penny more for their crap. This place is constantly running over tenants and making them miserable. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS! As for all of the positive comments.. It's them trying to make themselves look "good" . Really? That should be a big enough sign for anyone reading this to get the hell away.

The new owners are rushing the new construction and often leave a bad job in their wake, they are walking ALL OVER current tenants and forcing them to leave homes for the day to repair things that are not broken, they are towing vehicles to repave parkinglots after ONE DAY, 'paper taped to door' notice, and to top it all off, the rent is skyrocketing!



The old owners were great - Very nice, very friendly and put their customers first. If you heard good things about Sutton Place in the past, forget them. The Parks at Sutton Place is a huge downgrade from the old ownership.



Despite the bad experiences over the past few months with construction, maintenance is ALWAYS on key :) Much props to them.

Do not even consider moving here in the next 6 months to a year. Construction will continue to be noisy, annoying and frustrating. I am leaving in 4 weeks and am greatly relieved.

The first two months we lived in this apartment were fine. We loved the staff including maintenance as well. Two months after we moved in the apartments were bought by another company. Most of the staff we knew left due to pay cuts I believe. As soon as we were bought there was talk of awesome renovations to the apartments as well as the facilities we use (pool area and work out room and such). It seemed like they started almost immediately. Thats when things started to go wrong. The staff does not communicate one bit. At first they seem pretty professional but dont let that fool you. We have had issues getting things fixed three times (in less then two months!) so far. Our dishwasher has been broke for 4 weeks. No one communicated with us if it was getting fixed or not. We were told two times (after we bugged and bugged) that we would be getting a new one on a certain date. Those dates would roll around and nothing. Today we went and talked to another person. They looked and had no record of us getting a new dish washer let alone it being broken! That is just one issue we've had. I know it sounds petty but added up with all the other frustrating little things makes it very annoying and unnecessary. When I come home from life (wether its work or school) there is no need for me to worry about the place i live in. Thats why i rent. Communication just doesnt exist here and with out communication you cant run a good business.
