Kid's Country Child Care & Learning Center

I absolutely love this place, especially the staff! My son has been there since he was 7-weeks old (16-months now). My 5-year-old went there for a year, until he started Kindergarten this fall (we are out of district). They are always on top of things, so friendly, organized, and clean. I get a daily report of what my child ate, when he napped, his mood, his diaper changes and if he needs anything for the next day. They are always doing fun things with the children, and even with the parents! They have a great pre-k program, too. My 5-year-old learned SO much and made so many friends. I always got his school work and loved seeing the progress. He was very upset that he had to leave and so was I. I would (and do) recommend Kid's Country to anyone looking.

My 2 year old son and I took a tour of this center. When we were shown one of the toddler rooms, I was shocked at what I saw. As a parent, it took a lot for me to hold my tongue. During nap time, one of the teachers or aides had the radio blarring in the room just a few feet from where the chldren were resting on the mats. Also, she was cleaning the floor with a very harsh smelling chemical while dumping a ton of water on the floor. There was one child sitting by himself and when he spoke, the teacher or aide replied in a very gruff tone. It really took alot for me to not speak up and say- what the -ell is going on here? There was a complete lack of common sense being demonstrated. The odor from the chemicals was over powering even the assistant director commented about it when she was showing me the room but aid nothing to the aide. How is a child supposed to sleep or rest under such circumstances? (A blarring radio and using harsh chemicals during nap time!) I would never even consider placing my child in a center liek that one. I truly wonder if the parents know exactly what is going on in this place.
