Racoon Saloon

Just returned home from a trip to Wrightwood we took just for having breakfast at the Evergreen Cafe. Over the years (not often enough to be regulars but often enough), we've been there many times and always loved the place, service and food. My husband just came off chemo and radiation treatment and this was a treat for him. There were 4 of us. We walked in and waited to get on the list. There were tables available and open seats at the bar. Immediately, they shooed us out, saying there was no waiting in the restaurant. I stayed inside to get our name on the list - had to wait because people were paying. While I was waiting, my husband came back in because he was freezing. He was obviously shaking. Regardless, THEY DID NOT LET HIM WAIT INSIDE. He could have sat at the bar with a cup of tea, but they did not afford him that kindness.



We will never go there again, and I will discourage everyone I know from going there.



We ended up at the GRIZZLY CAFE, just down the main road. GREAT FOOD, BIGGER PLACE, INSIDE WAITING AREA and A LOVELY GIFT SHOP.

THE RACOON AND EVERGREEN ARE THE BOMB best place ive every gone had a blast at The Racoon I'm going back soon whoo hooo and the food is great
