I recently stayed at the Comfort Inn in Austintown Ohio while working a weekend at the Comedy Cellar. I must say the rooms were some of the cleanest I have encountered being a road comic. The staff was very friendly, and the location was perfect. I would definitely stay again and would recommend this hotel.

The room was very clean,,,,the staff was very friendly. Dave in the breakfast area greeted us with a smile and great hospitality. It was very enjoyable to talk with him. Wonderful addition to the staff at Comfort Inn. We look forward to staying there again and hope that we are able to talk with Dave again. All in All....EVERYTHING was great..... :) Keep up the good work!

As a former employee of various hotel chains ( some of which were Choice Hotel properties ) I usually am very critical of where I stay. Due to a Recent death in my family, I have had to visit the Austintown - Youngstown area numerous times in the past few months, and I have stayed at a lot of different hotels in that area. THIS IS THE BEST , BY FAR, that I have been at. The rooms are spotless, the staff well trained, polite , and professional. Everyone from the front desk, breakfast bar, to housekeeping did their job very well. The deluxe continental breakfast ( WHICH IS FREE ) has a great selection and the waffles are even made to order. My only complaint was that I couldn't stay longer. This should be a GOLD AWARD winner in the future. Great management. Thanks for a nice stay under " not so nice " circumstances.

As a traveling stand-up comedian in constant demand, I stay at a lot of hotels and found this one very satisfactory; for a standard motel set-up (rooms opening up to the parking lot), it was very clean and well-appointed. There also looked to be a fun big breakfast happening-- that I missed. Most of all the area seems pretty safe and the staff was very very helpful, especially well a problem arouse with my reservation, the woman behind the counter went out of her way to rectify it. I would definitely recommend to a friend!

I stayed at Comfort Inn & Suites Austintown on a Saturday night in August. My first interaction with the hotel actually came before check in, when I needed to make an adjustment to my reservation. I was planning to travel alone, but needed to add a person to my reservation a little over a week before my stay. The staff was very accomodating and made the adjustment with no increase in price despite my willingness to pay if necessary. When I arrived, I was impressed with how nice the lobby looked. I saw that there is breakfast served every morning, and complimentary coffee available throughout the day in the lobby. The staff was friendly and I was able to check in quickly and get to my room. My room was spacious and clean, and I was impressed with how quickly the air conditioner cooled off the room. The bed was comfortable, and the television and alarm clock both worked to satisfaction. The room also came equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot although I did not use any of them. I was a little nervous when I saw how close my room was to the pool, but it was no problem. I saw children playing but could not hear them at all once my door was closed. A small detail that I really appreciate is that the "Do Not Distub" signs are magnetic and attach to the door. I have stayed in countless hotels where the sign attaches to the door handle and gets knocked off for some reason or another. That did not happen here and I was able to sleep in. The noon checkout time is amazing. I work nights when I travel and it is very convenient to not have to be up and out the door 6 or 7 hours after I get back to the room. The only negative that I saw about this hotel stay is that the parking lot is a little bit awkward. It does not go around the entire property, but there are no signs indicating that is the case. When I was leaving I ended up going all the way to the end and needing to turn around. However this was a minor inconvenience that took less than 5 minutes out of my day. I travel to Youngstown on a fairly regular basis, and plan to make this hotel my regular residence when I'm in town.

Traveled with family of four to visit family in the area. Received an upgrade to a suite for being Choice Privileges members. Room was spacious with two bathrooms, two televisions and a sitting area with pull out couch. Everything was very clean and it looks like the property has been recently updated. It was so nice to have a space nice enough for the whole family to unwind and do their own thing. Did not have any issues with noise from the freeway, but our room was along the inside corridor. My husband made the reservation and dealt with the staff and he said everyone was friendly and went out of their way to be accommodating. We visit the area often and will most definitely be staying here again.

Quick Review - Great value, very clean, wonderful staff, will be our go-to pet-friendly hotel in the Youngstown area!

Long Review - Our daughter is a student-athlete at YSU, so we are in Youngstown regularly, and have been staying in hotels in the Youngstown area 6-8 times a year for the last two years. Our "regular" hotel is the Hampton in Boardman, which offers a discounted rate for families of YSU students. For this trip (our daughter's birthday) we decided to bring our 6-year-old golden retriever. Only a handful of hotels in the Boardman area allow pets, and based on TA reviews, none seemed to provide an acceptable combination of price and quality. The reviews on TA for the Comfort Inn in Austintown looked good, and the price and pet fees were both very reasonable.

Room - Desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. I requested a room that did not face the highway, and he gladly obliged. Room faced the courtyard/pool, which was nice and quiet, and actually would have probably been a great place to hang our had it not been the dead of winter. Maybe another time. Room was spotless!! I cannot emphasize enough how clean this property was. After seeing some traveler photos of other hotels in this price range, I was really nervous that we would be dealing with rusty bathroom fixtures, stained linens and carpets, and peeling wallpaper/paint. We opened the door to the room, and all worries immediately disappeared. Room was well maintained and very clean. Everything worked. Bed was clean and comfortable, shower was hot and had great pressure. Even had a multi-setting shower massage head. Flat-screen TV, microwave, fridge. Our daughter decided to spend the night with us, so I set up an inflatable mattress. Room was plenty big for this. I asked the desk clerk for a set of sheets and a blanket, and he quickly and happily brought them to the room.

Staff - I encountered several employees in the time we stayed - desk clerks, maintenance personnel, breakfast attendants, and housekeepers. All were extremely friendly. Very good staff!

Breakfast - Another pleasant surprise. We actually went out for breakfast, but I did take a look at the breakfast setup, got some coffee and ate an egg disk and sausage link. The breakfast is just as good as others I have had at hotels costing twice as much. Offerings included cold cereal, fruit, assorted pastries/bagels, oatmeal, juices, yogurt, make-your-own waffles in two flavors, and the aforementioned egg disks and sausage links. Very clean space, very friendly attendant, and nice selection.

Pet-friendly - The area had just received another significant round of snow, and with a dog, I spent quite a bit of time tromping around the courtyard in it. The pet fee here is very reasonable, and the courtyard is a nice area to take your pet for his business.

Summary - As I mentioned in the title, I think this property is worth every penny. There's nothing I like more than a great value, and this property is definitely that. So good that my wife and I have already discussed making this our new "regular" hotel, even when we don't bring the dog.
