I made an appointment at 2, and the lady told me her sister didn't tell her about my appointment, so I had to wait to get my hair done on my birthday. I was in the shop on time, but got my hair started on around 7:30. She finished around 2:30 in the morning. They were very slow, and took too many breaks. The kids were running around the shop making the atmosphere uncomfortable. They didn't have any home training, and they were screaming loud. She didn't try to make them behave. The kids were climbing on chairs and on the customers. She told me over the phone my hair was 190, got finished and it was 220. All they did was complain about how tired they were, and that they were not going to kill themselves over doing hair. Nobody asked you to open a shop to do hair. You should never let a customer hear you complain. The shop was in horrible condition. The chairs were falling apart. These people are ghetto and unprofessional, and will NEVER get my business again.

I wouldn't let these people braid my dog's hair!!! This was absolutely the worst customer experiences I've had in my life. I went to this dump Easter weekend to get my natural hair twisted. When I arrived, all of the braiders had clients but one of the braiders told her client to get up and told me to sit down. (I thought she was one of their friends/relatives but that should have been my first indication that they were totally unprofessional). By the time the lady was almost finished, it felt as if she were stabbing me in the top of my head with the hair pins so I asked her to insert them horizontally and not vertically into my scalp. To make a long story short, the back twists were neat but all of the ones in the front were so loose that you could lift them an inch off of my head and my natural hair was curling out of the twists. I asked her to fix them and immediately all of the braiders started yelling aggressively in their language and telling me they were supposed to be like that (not true) and how they have never had any problems in Albany. Two of them stood up and got close to me pointing and shaking their fingers in my face yelling in their dialect about me being stupid and broke (I may not speak their language but I could pick out certain French words). Then one yelled in English "Take them out and she can leave!" I felt threatened and humiliated so I told them if they were going to stand over me and yell and talk about me all aggressively like that then they need to speak in English so I could understand and defend myself. My braider said she would fix the front, which she half did for a second time. I paid and left but the whole experience was really bothering me so I went back 3 days later to ask the owner to fix them because by then the front like an afro and she said, verbatim, "We are all family. I can't say nothing." I paid the full price for twists at this place, never once asked for a discount or a refund and they were rude and disrespectful. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!

Great service

I went to Bamba in March of this year. I got micro twists done. Two people worked on my braids and did not stop. They were very professional and my braids were beautiful. When I took them out three months later I had no hair loss. I was very impressed and will be going back again. I recommend them to every ody who ask about hair braiding.
