found aspen to be over priced. was told to get my teeth cleaned would cost between $400 - $600 just for a routine cleaning!!!! not kidding still saved the estimate for a laugh. normal cost under $100. i don't even have plaque to scale. just stains from coffee etc... then i got my free x rays from them and brought them to another dentist. could not even read them. blurry and cheap scan so had to do that again. don't get fooled by free xray, consult deal they still get u to pay it with an over priced cleaning

I heard good things about Aspen Dental, so I went to the location in Albany. One of the worst experiences of my life. The entire staff, from the dentist, to the assistants, to the receptionists, were incompetent and rude. As I waited forever to be seen in the waiting room, a patient came storming out of the doors of the office screaming profanities and was enraged. I thought she looked ridiculous making a giant scene like that, but it didn't take long to find out why. The x-ray tech rushed me through the x-ray as if I were one big blob of inconvenience, and when I was finally seen by my dentist, he said he couldn't see the source of my problem, and recommended a cleaning and braces. If I wanted a cleaning and/or braces, I would have scheduled an appointment with my family dentist and/or orthodontist. He graced over my complaints of pain, and said to reschedule. The check out receptionists also made me wait forever, talking about facebook together was their first priority. A middle eastern man was being questioned on his insurance, and because he wasn't sure of the questions being asked and spoke very little English, he was mocked and laughed at under their breath. Finally, when I was seen in check out, I told them that I would never return, and of course, got rude remarks and feedback, but that was what I was expecting considering the whole visit was in the same manner. Very disappointing.

I went to Aspen Dental to have a regular cleaning and checkup. They found a few cavities and I scheduled my appointments to have them filled. My first problem was that they would only fill one cavity per appointment, which was inconvenient and expensive. My second issue was how poorly the work was performed. I had to go back three times for a single cavity and now, a year later, I have a crater in my tooth where it used to be approximately level with the rest of my teeth. A piece of a tooth broke off and wasn't fixed, so I also have a sharp point in my mouth.
While their staff is friendly and efficient, their dentists are incompetent. I'm disappointed that this represents one of the low-cost dental practices in the area. Lower income people deserve decent dental service as well as people who make more money.
Avoid this practice at all costs.

Can you believe that Aspen Dental will not clean and have a dentist look at you teeth in the same appointment! You have to make an appointment for a cleaning then another for x-rays and yet another for the dentist to even look at your teeth! My suggestion is that Aspen Dental go back to doing family visits as well as allowing patients to get their teeth cleaned and looked at in the same visit.
