The Firm has evolved from a general practice firm to a practice limited exclusively to Family Law Issues. After Valerie's retirement, Kathleen has continued to dedicate her practice to guiding clients through a difficult time of life with dignity and respect. The Firm offers various process options to meet Clients’ individual needs.
Kathleen believes in helping her clients reach practical solutions during difficult times. To that end, Kathleen took her first mediation training in 2003 and, with Valerie, formed Family Mediation Services. In the spring of 2008 Kathleen and Valerie, together with a group of other attorneys, mental health professionals and financial experts received Collaborative Law training and formed the Collaborative Divorce Association of the Capital District (CDACD). Kathleen is a Past President of the CDACD and has served on the Board of that organization almost continuously since its inception as Treasurer, Secretary and Director of Standardization and Forms. Kathleen has also served on the Marketing Committee and is involved with the Special Kids Committee.
