Knife Merchant was founded by Chef John Borg, and is now owned and operated by his colleague, Chef David Holly. Knife Merchant began when many of the local chefs enlisted Chef Borg's assistance in acquiring quality and hard to find knives. As the business grew, he turned from restaurant operations to doing this as a full time venture and eventually enlisted Chef Holly as his successor. From these humble beginnings, we now offer a full line of cookware, cutlery, pastry tools, appliances and more.         The knife merchant is back! Okay I guess they actually never left, but when their San Diego store closed I assumed they were out of business, I’ve just checked online and I see that the same team is still running the store they just moved to the east coast. Super stoked that these guys are still in the game. Placed my first online order (used to shop in person) and am thrilled with their website and same great advice. Can’t wait to get my knives. Thanks guys!
