Monahan Photographic Artists

We had our newborn portraits taken by Pat Monahan. He was very patient with our fussy baby - although I believe part of the reason for the fussiness was due to the temperature of the studio. The baby only had on a diaper and it was rather cold (in the wintertime). Maybe you'd have better luck if you requested him to warm it up before you arrived? Anyway, the portraits turned out beautiful. But for us, the print package and a la carte pricing was a little outrageous. We recently moved to Iowa, and the photographer we used for everything back home gave us the option of purchasing an Image Release CD. That way we could add photo effects, change colors and, most importantly, make as many prints as we wanted. Monahan doesn't offer this option, which I guess we should have inquired about before going to him. Personally, we feel that charging an arm and a leg for prints is a little stone-age, so unfortunately we won't be using him for anything in the future.
