This is the only place for me. I bought my last 2 cars from them and they keep them running. It's a good old-fashioned family business; trustworthy.

The staff and service was excellent! I was in Ann Arbor this past weekend for the Michigan-Ohio State game when the regulator for my window broke and as a result my window dropped down inside the door. It was cold and raining out and I tried another auto repair shop in Ann Arbor who told me there was nothing they could do as they didn't have the part. Packard was the only place still open and I stopped by there to see if they could help. While they didn't have the part, they were able to get my window up and secure. They got my car in right away even though they were about to close. Most places nearing closing time would say they can't do anything but not these guys. They were helpful and courteous! They turned a bad situation in into a good one. If you need auto repair done in the Ann Arbor area, I highly recommend seeing the team at Packard auto! Thank you!

Friends wouldn't necessarily call me a risk taker, but when it comes to getting any kind of car work done, I tend to put it off to the last minute because I fear getting taken advantage of since I'm a female. So you can imagine my dread at having to call different shops to get quotes for brake replacement.

Packard Auto provided the lowest quote at $199 for parts & labor over the phone, though the person bumped it up slightly when I brought the car in. Perhaps it was a tax on time; After all, I did wait 2 weeks from the phone quote to the actual service. After taxes, I rolled out of their shop with brand spanking new front and rear brake pads and rotor for $199

It's been over 2 weeks and everything is just fine with the car! Lowest quote for the service needed and quickly done work; I'm a happy customer!

don't know what the other review talking about . i didn't plan on writing a review but after reading it i decided to do so

thank you Packard auto and good job keep it up

The Packard Auto Team works hard to make our customers customers happy and to contribute to our community. This review is not for our facility. Our adress is 1880 Packard St. and there are many other shops near us. We have not had any vehicles removed from our lot via car hauler, furthermore, our brake jobs are only 199.99 on most vehicles. We have not charged anyone 500 dollars for front brakes. I apologize for any confusion, but rest assured, college students are well taken care of at our facility. Thank you for all of the business!

thankx guys are good honest people. The most important thing you look for in a mechanic is the honesty, then the service. They are very honest and the service is great. I send all my friends, employees to them and they always take good care of everyone.

This place was great! I brought my car in to get fixed and the service great. They were very friendly and very curtious. I was always being updated on the progress of my car and I was definitely treated with respect and honesty. The service was fast and was very reasonably priced. I will definitely be coming back for any future repairs. I will also be recommending them to my family and friends. It's difficult to find a good mechanic but I sure found mine. Keep up the great work guys.

When I brought my Audi A4 to t...

When I brought my Audi A4 to this shop yesterday for its 140k mile service and an oil change, I was prepared to like Packard Auto. Throughout the day I was updated on my car's progress, as well as the cost of unexpected repairs. The staff was competent, knowledgeable and communicative. They offered me reasonable prices. I thought that I was being treated with respect, which is hard to come by as a woman bringing my car in for repairs.

Then came the catch. As I was reviewing and paying my bill, the man named Casey behind the counter took it upon himself to tell me an anecdote that started with, "Women know nothing about cars." He said this to my face after I had just paid him $800. This is seriously bad customer service.

First of all, being told I know nothing about cars because I am a woman was extremely insulting. Second, it was completely unnecessary and uncalled for - I thought we had been having a civil conversation up to that point. Third, it was flat-out wrong. I know more about cars, and my car in particular, than your average driver. I am a car enthusiast. I know, for instance, that Audi began manufacturing the A4 in the US in 1998 and that my car is from the first generation (B5). I bought the 2.8L V6 because it has a more reliable engine than the smaller version. I know that I will need to replace the timing belt soon (at 60k miles) because the A4 has an interference engine that causes the pistons to crash into each other and possibly destroy the engine if the timing belt breaks. I know that changing the timing belt involves taking apart the entire front end of the car and takes several hours, and that it's worth changing the serpentine belt and water pump at the same time because it doesn't make sense to disassemble the car more often than you need to. Need I really go on? I know my car inside out, and I am extremely offended that I was subjected to that insult based on my gender.

I wish I could recommend this place. I really do. I was excited to have found a mechanic that didn't overcharge me and kept me well informed throughout the day. My car is running better after having taken it there. I would have loved to come back to this shop. But I can't, because I'm not willing to put up with BS sexist insults being thrown in my face.

Great job. I just want to send...

Great job. I just want to send my sincere appreciation to Packard Auto Repair, espescially to Mike and Mohammed. I had work done on my car, my son"s car my sister's and my wife's car. The outcomes were superlative at a reasonable/fair cost. My previous experience with car repair companies has been from less than ideal to disastrous. This company replaces my trust in consumerism. No more will I ever go to any other place . They are tot ally honest in their assessment and will never do anything they cannot do and will make suggestions to go elsewhere if is beyond their scope. Thus far this has not happened, but as Mike states this is part of their mission statement. I have personally witnessed feedback from other customers {while waiting for my car} on how they would never take their car anywhere else. In this day and age when are all watching our dollars, this solid gold. My wife works for the U of M and has and will continuue to refer people{ as well as I ]. My only fear is that if we tell everybody about their superior work and attention to detail, it will take a long time to get our cars in{just kidding]. I just can not say enough about them.,' I am proud to have a organization in this community and gives the public a fair price along with quality work. Thomas N
