Quality Alterations

This is by far the best tailor in Ann Arbor. (I have been to the others too) I first came to Lucia with a $1,000 Dolce and Gabbana velvet blazer. It was too big and needed many alterations. The sleeves had to be shortened so much the sleeve buttons also had to be redone entirely. Everything was done promptly and perfectly. Since I have taken Versace suits, and most recently a Giorgio Armani Black Label tuxedo. This is a FIVE THOUSAND DOLLAR tuxedo. Many tailors would not touch it. I am very particular and I wanted EVERYTHING done. I wanted the length of the jacket changed, the sleeves shortened, and the jacket taken in much. I have a 30 in waist and because of that, the pants had to be entirely reconstructed. If you are unfamiliar with Giorgio Armani, (Not Emporio Armani, Not Armani Collezioni, Not Mani, Not Armani Exchange) the Black Label is almost entirely handmade. It is the only label designed by Giorgio Armani himself. It is the most expensive. About 5 grand. It revolves around a clean silhouette look that can be incredibly difficult to alter. Lucia did a PERFECT job. Absolutely perfect, in every way doing every alteration that could be done. If you want the best tailor in Ann Arbor, look no further. Her prices are very good and she is worth more than she charges.

Quality alteration actually closes at 6pm

I had a last minute alteration for a dress I was wearing to a wedding on a Saturday (my only option) & I dropped my dress off on a Wednesday. I was to pick up the dress Friday as they are closed Saturday. I was concerned it couldn't be done. The dress had multiple stiching areas that I'm sure we're difficult & intracuit.

I had to work that Friday and ended up getting stuck at work late unable to use my phone. Lucia had called & left me a message. I was sure I was out of luck & in a real jam. When I was finally able to leave work & use my phone she called at the exact same time to tell me they had been closed for nearly an hour but she waited for me because she knew I needed that dress the following day! I couldn't believe it! You just don't expect such courtesies these days!

I was such a difficult customer, I'm sure, and Lucia not only rolled with the punches but was sweet as pie & saved my day.

I will go to Quality Alterations form now on!
